Lil Scrappy and Bambi Broke Up… Erica Mena is reportedly dating Scrappy.
A report by Media Take Out says that Lil Scrappy and Bambi Benson, who were married for five years and were on Love & Hip Hop, have decided to split up. Erica Mena, a co-star and close friend of Bambi, is also said to be dating Scrappy right now.
Scrappy and Bambi started dating in the third season of LHHATL and showed that they would do anything for each other. The couple got married in 2017 and have three children: a 3-year-old son, Breland, and 2- and 1-year-old daughters, Xylo and Cali. Scrappy has a child named Emani Richardson. He and his ex-girlfriend, Erica Dixon, who used to be on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, had the child together.
Since Bambi and Scrappy started dating, running the House of Shimmer has been hard for the business owner. From love triangles with Erica and Shay Johnson to Momma Dee’s constant interference, Bambi fought through some of her hardest battles and stayed by her husband’s side. In Season 10, things almost came to a head, but Bambi was able to work through her marriage problems with the help of her friends and co-stars, Sierra Gates and Erica Mena, who had just gotten divorced.
After Erica moved from the New York franchise to the Atlanta franchise, she and the Love & Hip Hop veteran became very close. Erica helped Bambi through her divorce from fellow LHHATL star Safaree Samuels, and Erica did the same for Bambi last season. Scrappy even tried to make Erica feel better when she found out that Scrappy’s friend Safaree had to pay $4,305 a month in child support.
A person who works on the set recently told MTO that there are rumours that Scrappy and Erica may be dating. There has been no confirmation of the claim, but fans can only imagine how dramatic next season will be if it turns out to be true.
According to the outlet, it’s not clear if Scrappy and Bambi are over for good or just taking a break. However, the ex-couple has deleted their photos together on Instagram and stopped following each other’s accounts.
The news that Scrappy and Bambi are getting a divorce comes right after one of Scrappy’s most vulnerable moments on Love & Hip Hop. On the season finale of LHHATL on November 7, Scrappy talked to his mother, Momma Dee, about how she raised him in a trap house and brothel where she sold drugs and prostitution.
During a fight with his mother about how strange his childhood was, the rapper broke down in tears. Momma Dee raised Scrap when she was an escort and later when she ran a famous brothel in Atlanta as the head pimp. In front of the other people on the show, the rapper talked about how hard it was to see his mother in that situation.
Scrappy told Momma Dee, “You should support this because you don’t have anyone, and I want someone.” He was talking about his wife, Bambi.
He then asked Momma Dee if she understood why he loved Bambi so much. “Because of what you saw me go through,” she said. The rapper spoke up and said, “No! Because of how you live! I was raised in a whorehouse and a trap house. So that was all I knew. And I love you because you didn’t give up, but… You didn’t have to sleep with your mom because you couldn’t go to your room. “The way I was raised, you never had to walk in on mother*****. I had to deal with that sh*t.”
The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star went on to say that he had to deal with his past traumas as a child. “I’m still taking care of it because nobody is coming to help me. I learned that nobody helped me when I got older. This is real… what I go through in my head.”
Then Scrappy told his mom that he still appreciates her for taking care of him when he was a kid and helping him become successful. “I’m not taking anything from you because you put money in my sh*t and in my rap career, and no one else did, so I love my momma and I love my wife,” he said.
Momma Dee said that she did the best she could as a mother in a confessional.
“I was the best mother I could be, but I’m not perfect and neither am I. No one is. But I want to get this family by turning the other cheek.”
