Rapper Big Scarr died when he was only 22

An up-and-coming rap artist has died, and the music world is sad about it.

Big Scarr, a Memphis rapper whose record label was owned by Gucci Mane, died on December 22. He was 22.

Gucci Mane, who paid tribute to the artist on social media, said that he knew he had died. “This hurts,” he wrote on Dec. 22 with an emoji of a crying face and a broken heart. “I’m a miss you @BigScarr.”

E! News has tried to get a comment from Big Scarr’s rep, but hasn’t heard back yet. The reason for his death has not been found yet. Police sources told TMZ that the case is being looked into as a death investigation, but there are no signs of wrongdoing.

Big Scarr was on Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, and he was recently put on the XXL Freshman List for 2022. During his career, the rapper worked with Offset and made the hit song “SolcyBozy” with Shiesty, Foogiano, and Tay Keith.

Big Scarr was also supposed to go on tour with Key Glock to start the year 2023. In his last Instagram post, which was on Dec. 7, he wrote, “BIGGEST TOUR OF 2023!” “I’m a very special guest.”

After his death, a lot of artists started to pay tribute to him on social media.

Enchanting wrote on Instagram Stories, “I can’t take it, bro.” “Please just leave me alone. I’ve never felt this way before. My baby, my best friend, my son, I’m sorry and I’ll always love you. Know that for you, I would do anything.”

Key Glock tweeted, “This s—t is wicked wtf bru!!!” Renni Rucci from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta said, “Damn Scarr.”

Big Scarr, whose real name was Alexander Woods, had health problems before he died.

The rapper was reportedly thrown through the windscreen of a friend’s car in an accident when he was 16 years old. His injuries helped him come up with his rap name in part.
