There is a new dating show on Peacock. Queen’s Court is made by Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, Rodney Peete. It stars Tamar Braxton, Nivea, and Evelyn Lozada. The Peetes will talk about their search for love over the course of ten 60-minute episodes. They will give advice on dates and what it takes to make a relationship work. During the process, Braxton, Lozada, and Nivea will also lean on each other and become close. Even though this is the first dating show for all three women, they have all been in relationships with well-known men.
Tamar Braxton had two public breakups in the span of three years.
Fans of Braxton Family Values first met Braxton when she was married to Vincent Herbert, who ran a record company. In 2008, they got married. Braxton pretended to be a good wife for three years while her career seemed to be going nowhere. With the popularity of her family’s reality show, she was able to get Herbert to hire her as an artist. After her first self-titled album failed in 2007, she released Love & War in 2013 and proved she could stand on her own. The album was nominated for a Grammy. But as her fame grew, she had trouble in her marriage.
In their spinoff show, Tamar & Vince, the two tried to find a balance between work and personal life as they raised their son, Logan. By Season 5, Braxton was hosting, on tour, filming other projects, and doing more. After arguing with Herbert about how to get a co-manager to handle their business separately, things got worse. In 2017, she asked for a divorce. In 2019, their divorce was finalized, and Braxton was already dating someone else.
Braxton started dating David Adefeso, an expert on money, and said she loved him in public. Even her reality show Get Your Life had an episode about him. But people who knew the couple well said that Adefeso was bossy. After Braxton tried to kill himself and ended up in the hospital and going through a lot of therapy, their relationship started to fall apart. They broke up in 2020, and Adefeso accused Braxton of hitting her, so a temporary restraining order was given to her. She said that he was wrong. They got back together for a short time last year before breaking up for good.
Evelyn Lozada’s past relationships have been full of cheating and an incident of domestic violence.
Lozada’s love life hasn’t been easy either. When she first appeared on Basketball Wives, she had just broken up with Antione Walker, a former NBA player she had been with for 10 years. By the second season of the VH1 reality show, she was dating Chad “Ochocino” Johnson, an NFL star. They got married in 2012, but they broke up after 41 days.
Lozada says that when she confronted Ochocino about cheating, he gave her a headbutt. This left her with a seven-inch cut on her forehead that needed stitches. He was told to go to a program for people who beat their partners.
A year later, Lozada told the world that she was pregnant by Carl Crawford, a major league baseball player. On Christmas 2013, they got engaged. In 2014, their son was born. In 2017, they broke up and ended their engagement because Lozada said he cheated on her.
Nivea was married to a record producer and had a big-name rapper as her fiance.
The men who loved the “Don’t Mess With My Man” singer also broke her heart. The Dream, a record producer, was married to Nivea, and they have three kids together. But before they got married, she was crazy about Lil Wayne. They were engaged and lived together, but they broke up when she found out that he was also seeing his child’s mother.
After Nivea broke up with Dream, she and Wayne got back together and had a son. But she found out she was pregnant by Wayne at the same time as Lauren London. Of course, that made things worse. Even with all the drama, she is still close with both of her ex-boyfriends. On the dating show, hopefully all of the women will find their prince charming.
